Veterinary Course

This course consists of an independent study module, lectures, group discussions and experiential training in a fully-equipped laboratory.

Program goal:

The goal of this program is to prepare pharmacists to develop a
specialty practice in veterinary pharmacy.

Hands on training using the following:

  • Chew molds
  • Dehydrator
  • Mortar and pestle
  • Blender
  • Electric scale

At the conclusion of this Certificate Program the pharmacist will be able to:

  • Understand several innovative methods for preparing compounded medications for animals.
  • Make unique dosage forms for a variety of animals.
  • Choose the most suitable flavours for compounded medications.
  • Use dose molds effectively.
