Skin Penetration & Retention
Performance Analysis
The study found that TD Lipo showed significantly higher skin penetration of the probe (fluorescein-free acid, FFA) than typical PLO-based gel and typical liposomal base at all sampling times.
Tape-Stripping Technique
Researchers measured FFA absorbed into skin layers using a tape-stripping technique, removing the stratum corneum in 12 layers. TD Lipo exhibited a clear concentration gradient with high retention near the application site and effective transport through deeper layers.
Microscopic Visualization
The Microscopic Imaging Test used advanced fluorescent microscopy to visualize the depth and distribution of FFA within the skin. Cross-sectional slices revealed that TD Lipo achieved a higher and more uniform concentration gradient compared to other bases.
Fluorescence intensity near the application site was significantly higher with TD Lipo, confirming enhanced retention while maintaining a predictable decrease deeper into skin layers.
Why Choose TD Lipo?
Outperforms traditional bases by delivering higher levels of active ingredients to deeper layers, with superior retention capabilities.
Extensive studies confirm TD Lipo consistently exceeds the performance of typical PLO-based gels and liposomal bases.
Non-greasy, cosmetically appealing texture suitable for sensitive or dry skin, enhancing patient compliance.
Liposome-based system maximizes penetration of lipophilic APIs (e.g., progesterone, testosterone) for efficient targeting.
