Overview

Pharmaceutical excipient, glidant, and lubricant supplied as hydrous magnesium silicate (CAS 14807-96-6; H2Mg3O12Si4; MW 379.26). It is a fine, odorless, white to grayish-white, unctuous powder that is practically insoluble in water, ethanol, and fixed oils, and it should be stored in well-closed containers in a cool, dry place.
