This large draft shield is designed for A&D FX-i series precision balances to isolate the weighing pan from ambient air currents and ventilation drafts. The enclosure is constructed from anti-static treated transparent polycarbonate panels and anti-static polymer components to minimize electrostatic weighing errors while providing vertical clearance for tall vessels. It is used during the precision weighing of powders, bulk chemicals, and liquid aliquots for non-sterile and sterile compounded preparations.
